These are pretty incredible.

I still can’t believe it’s been 50 years. It just feels so recent .  .  .

Nobody talked like Cary Grant.  President Kennedy used to call him up just to hear him talk.  Bobby, his brother the attorney general, would be on the extension.  They both got a huge kick out of hearing Cary talk. —Peter Bogdanovich

On This Date 13 Years ago…

They vanished in the dark of night, and by the next day, an armada had gathered just off Martha’s Vineyard, hoping for a rescue. Instead, the waves brought reason to grieve.

Newsweek July 26, 1999

The Kennedy clan and their remarkable ability to die tragically - why America loves ‘em.

Joe Jr. died in WWII, Kick died in a plane wreck in France with an assumed and already married lover, Jack and Bobby in assassinations, Jack Jr. and his plane crash, and a Mary Kennedy hanged herself earlier this year.

They become part of the public eye, America loves them, they die, and America REALLY loves them. Quite the cycle.
